Designing for the web since 1995

My specialty is visual interface design and user interaction design for digital tools, with a side of iconography.

I adapt well to new processes and new tools. I am very efficient individual contributor. I strive for that sweet spot where business goals, user needs, and development requirements align. I consistently deliver designs on target, on time and on budget. I believe in sharing work early and often, for an agile iterative process. I pride myself on being a first-rate team player. I enjoy collaborating and brainstorming solutions.

I have extensive experience across many industries, with a particular focus on Healthcare. Depending on the projects, I have worked in-house as part of Product Design teams, and other times as an outside consultant. I often collaborate with design & user experience consultancies such as Catalyst Innovation Partners, Futuredraft, Cooper, and Adaptive Path, but I also consult directly with companies.

My client list includes Google, Facebook, GE, BD, ServiceNow, Change Healthcare, Abbott, Genentech, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, New York Life, Charles Schwab, Visa, the San Francisco Chronicle, and many more.

What I am looking for

I am interested in consulting with like-minded companies and agencies to continue to produce engaging and intuitive digital experiences. My ideal project has me working about 30 hours a week, partly from home and partly from an office in San Francisco or the East Bay. Occasional traveling welcome.

Where I come from

I grew up in Aix-en-Provence in Southern France.

I studied Communication Design in Paris and New York. I hold a BFA in Communication Design (BTS Expression Visuelle) from l'Ecole Supérieure d'Arts Appliqués Estienne in Paris, France. I spent a year at Parsons School of Design in New York on a special grant from the City of Paris.

I moved to San Francisco in 1995, where I joined the dawn of the World Wide Web. My first job was at CNET.

I went freelance in 2002 and I have been contracting ever since.

I live in Berkeley, California

P.S.: I like listening to music while I work
