Integra Lifesciences - Product design of medical device monitoring patients with hydrocephalus

Integra LifeSciences is a leader in neurosurgical devices to treat hydrocephalus. Integra is researching and developing smart shunt valves equipped with sensors that enable real-time monitoring of intracranial pressure and personalized patient care. I was the digital product designer for the R&D team.

From 2022 to 2025, I was the sole digital UI designer for a new product that displays live ICP and provides access to historical data, reports, patient information, etc. I was involved from the earliest stage of product development. I created proof-of-concept early prototypes to present at neurosurgery conferences. I participated in several rounds of user testing. I worked closely with the UX designer and the hardware team to fully develop the product. I delivered detailed interactive Figma prototypes spec'ing out all the use cases. The product is currently in development.
